This time when I came to Shanghai for an exhibition, I specifically chose to stay at WOW Hotels Shanghai. Originally, I only wanted it to be close to the subway station, but unexpectedly, staying for three days became the most surprising and unexpected gain of my trip to Shanghai.
Walk out of Exit 3 of People's Square subway station, take two turns and arrive at the hotel entrance. The whole journey takes less than five minutes, and you don't have to take any detours with your suitcase. As soon as I entered the front desk, the staff member Yakai greeted me with a smile and quickly helped me check in. He even handed me a handwritten note for browsing and eating around the area, which marked nearby pan fried restaurants that do not need to queue up and niche check-in points on Nanjing Road that avoid crowds. Even when I mentioned that I wanted to watch the musical that night, he helped me check the walking route from the hotel to the theater - the popular "Apollonia" theater was only 50 meters away from the hotel, just a turn away, and there was no need to rush.
The Haipai Zhenxuan room I stayed in had a pleasant surprise as soon as I opened the door. The decoration had a retro style with an old Shanghai flavor, with small cobblestone steps at the entrance and detailed old Shanghai posters on the walls. It was completely different from the typical business hotel style. The air conditioning in the room is very powerful. After wandering around for a day, I came back sweating profusely. Within two minutes, it cooled down slightly. The pillow was just right in softness and hardness, and someone like me who knows beds would fall asleep just by touching it. In the mini bar, there are not only two free bottles of mineral water, but also two cans of refreshing carbonated drinks as a gift. When you feel dry and thirsty while browsing, you can open the fridge and take a sip, making you feel comfortable.
What surprised me the most was the leisure area of the hotel, where there was a table tennis room and a table football table hidden. After watching the drama at night, I didn't want to go to bed immediately, so I played with my friends in the table tennis room for half an hour, which was much more interesting than staying in the room and scrolling through my phone. The location of the hotel is even more advantageous. It takes three minutes to walk to Nanjing Road Walkway. At night, you can walk slowly along the street. You can walk to the Bund for more than ten minutes to see the night scene. If you want to go to the Tianchan Yifu stage, you can walk only 300 meters. You don't have to squeeze the subway to catch the time.
Previously, I read online reviews that the hotel was located in a mixed use commercial and residential building. I was originally worried about chaos, but in reality, I stayed completely at ease: I had to swipe my face to enter the elevator hall, and idle people couldn't even get to the guest room floor. There were staff on duty in the lobby 24 hours a day, and when I came home late, I could see the warm light in the lobby from afar. The only small incident was the next day when I accidentally left my room key in my room. Within two minutes of calling the front desk, the staff came up with a spare room key to help me open the door. Their attitude was gentle throughout the entire process, without any impatience.
After walking in Shanghai for three days, I almost visited all the old Shanghai shops around me, so I didn't have to waste time commuting. When I got tired, I could immediately turn back to the hotel and collapse. Compared to those internet famous hotels located far away in the suburbs, WOW Hotels Shanghai truly incorporates the fireworks and convenience of Shanghai into every detail. Next time I come to Shanghai for exhibitions and TV shows, I will definitely book here as soon as possible.Show more
